Hydraulic power adjust depth control

The patented power adjust depth control utilises the bucket function of your skid steer to adjust the depth of cut to the planer. This simple to use method allows the operator to keep his hands on the controls at all times and give precise control of the planning operation.

Front down design

The operation and safety of the planer is greatly enhanced by the unique front down design. This exclusive feature keeps the front of the planer low to the ground. Providing a constant barrier for the debris generated by the planning operation.

High torque direct-drive design

This delivers the power directly to the drum. No power is lost through a planetary reduction system.

Optional controls

Although the APX series planer comes standard with manual tilt, numerous control options are available to provide hydraulic tilt function.

Open-drum design

The exclusive open drum design improves planer productivity by greatly reducing the power loss caused by the picks and drum passing through the already planed material. Standard planning drums lose power, particularly at depths below 40mm because material is tipped between the picks and the drum. The open-drum design overcomes this problem giving you increased productivity.

Roll-out drum

The roll-out drum feature makes easy work of pick and drum services. The rolled out position offers unparalleled access to the drum and pick maintenance or removal. All planers are pre-drilled for Universal Bingham water kits.

High pick count outside drum plates

Extra picks are strategically located on the outer drum plated to reduce wear on the outside picks and blocks and to provide a smooth cutting action.
